Marche @ The Curve

Sunday, December 20th, 2009

After a long walk along the Curve’s open flea market, it was almost dinner time… we decided to stop and try everyone’s recommendation of Marche. Its a market concept, where you choose your fruits for juices, pasta for pasta dishes, fishes, meats as main and variety of side dishes.

With so many variety to choose from, we ended up with these…

Home-made Wild Mushroom soup as starter.

Catch of the day with baked potato (as side dish)

Turkey Breast with mashed potato & dinner roll.

Lastly for refreshments – Bundaberg Rootbeer and Strawberry Fruit juice (no ice, no added sugar water, no added water).

Aicheng Laksa @ The Curve

Sunday, December 20th, 2009

Looking for a simple & fast bite during lunch time? Here’s my visit to Aicheng Laksa at the Curve. Its not a very big place, but if you are looking to tasting local cuisine and not too heavy with the wallet/purse, Aicheng Laksa is a nice place to eat.

What better way than to drink Air Mata Kucing during a hot day. Here taken with the menu cover.

Here’s a shot of the chicken herbal noodle. Its not too herbal.. not too watery. So, just right for my taste.

The Assam Stingray is nice. Not fishy at all. Comes with a plate of rice.

Nandos @ 1Utama Shopping Complex

Monday, September 14th, 2009

This fast food restaurant needs no introduction. Its famous and found in many shopping complexes around Malaysia. Nandos which are famous for their chilies sauce or Peri-Peri Sauces. I’m not going details on it as you can check out their interesting cartoon flash website at www.nandos.com.my.

I’m heading straight to their food. A recommendation for those that can’t eat too spicy but still like a tingle of spice, go for the Mild peri-peri sauce chicken dish. If you have a liking for hot stuff, then go ahead for the Hot and Extra Hot Peri-peri. But the taste includes a little sourish tingle to it.

The fries are alright, thick and not too hard. But I don’t fancy much on the salad side.
